Football Recap: Calhoun Skates Past Gilmer with Ease + How To Watch

The matchup between Calhoun and Gilmer on Friday hardly resembled the 20-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Yellow Jackets took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-22 win over the Bobcats. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Hudson Chadwick had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 179 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries, while also picking up 86 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Calhoun also got help from Justin Beasley, who showed off his sure hands for 108 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Calhoun was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Calhoun's record is now 6-2. As for Gilmer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
