Basketball Recap: Lake Minneola Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Lake Minneola won the last time they faced Camden County and things went their way on Friday too. The Lake Minneola Hawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Camden County Wildcats 54-51.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Coleman, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Herrin, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Lake Minneola has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Camden County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Lake Minneola won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Stranahan at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Camden County, they will challenge Colquitt County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Camden County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.
