Softball Recap: The Academy of the Holy Cross Comes Up Short

The Academy of the Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 26-6 to the St. John's Cadets. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Tartans' highest-scoring game to date.

The Academy of the Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. John's, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, The Academy of the Holy Cross will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bishop Ireton at 4:00 p.m. As for St. John's, they will challenge Paul VI at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cadets surely won't give up without a fight.
