Basketball Recap: Neuse Charter Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Ascend Leadership wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Neuse Charter, they should've done a better job of containing Lily Temple. The Neuse Charter Cougars claimed a resounding 76-12 victory over the Ascend Leadership Aviators thanks in part to Temple, who posted 22 points along with eight steals and seven assists. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Yedidia Tsolenyanu, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Neuse Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow still isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Ascend Leadership, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Neuse Charter will head out on the road to challenge North Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Duplin will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Neuse Charter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ascend Leadership, they will be playing in front of their home fans against River Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
