The Great Falls Red Devils will take on the North Stanly Comets in a tournament on Tuesday. Great Falls is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Great Falls came up short against Lewisville and fell 11-6. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kelby Brantley put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Brantley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Colton Evans was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Jayden Plyler was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, North Stanly strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Mount Pleasant 8-0. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

North Stanly pushed their record up to 19-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Great Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
