Basketball Recap: Coastal Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-23, which was the final score in the Coastal Christian Centurions's tilt against the Trinity Academy Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Centurions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Tigers are ranked 11th).

Coastal Christian's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Trinity Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Coastal Christian and Wake Christian Academy will face off at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Trinity Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Durham Academy at 7:45 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
