Baseball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gatlinburg-Pittman on Thursday, Clinton came back down to earth. The Dragons fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders earlier this season, when they won 12-4.

Clinton dropped their record down to 8-16 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

Looking ahead, Clinton will face off against Cumberland Gap at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. Gatlinburg-Pittman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
