Softball Recap: Mabel-Canton Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

Mabel-Canton never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines on the board, marking the Cougars' second-straight 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won ten matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Mabel-Canton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Glenville-Emmons, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mabel-Canton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Southland on the 9th. As for Glenville-Emmons, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 18-7 victory against Lyle/Pacelli on the 9th.
