Baseball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Triumphs

Crimson Cliffs won the last time they faced Cedar and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Reds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted against the Reds since April 23, 2021.

AUSTIN SMITH was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was JASON MCARTHUR, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Crimson Cliffs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Crimson Cliffs and bumps their season record up to 12-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Cedar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Crimson Cliffs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cedar: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
