Alexander waltzed into their match on Saturday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Medina Valley Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Alexander got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 28-30, 25-16, 25-22.

Sofia Gonzalez paced Alexander's offense, picking up 24 kills. Gonzalez got some help from Amari Randez and her 26 assists. Galilea Ortiz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Alexander's win bumped their record up to 26-4. As for Medina Valley, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-18.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alexander will take on rival Eagle Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Medina Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe United at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
