Softball Recap: Randolph Drops Highest Score of Season Against Silver Creek

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randolph). They came out on top against the Silver Creek Black Knights by a score of 12-7 on Monday. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Aliza Hind spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sadie S.Steward, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Mallory Smallback was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Randolph kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Randolph's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Silver Creek, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1.
