Soccer Game Preview: Garland vs. Rowlett

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Garland duke it out with the Rowlett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Garland's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Naaman Forest by a goal, winning 1-0. Roman Williams had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Owls.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rowlett). They put the hurt on Naaman Forest with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Garland has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4-2 record this season. As for Rowlett, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.
