Meanwhile, Clinton Prairie won against Tri-County last Saturday with 76 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Clinton Prairie simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Newton 76-17. The victory was familiar territory for the Gophers, who have now won 12 games in a row.

Clinton Prairie pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.7 points. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Carroll suffered a grim 67-47 defeat to Clinton Prairie when the teams last played back in January. Can Carroll avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
