Basketball Recap: Luperon Falls Short of Summit Academy in the Playoffs

Luperon and Summit Academy squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but Luperon had to settle for second. They fell to the Summit Academy Eagles 62-58. Luperon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Summit Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Summit Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cincere Tucker, who posted 18 points. Jasper Meissner was another key player, putting up 18 points.

With the loss, Luperon broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2. As for Summit Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.
