Baseball Recap: Antioch Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Antioch lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grayslake North, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Sequoits blew past the Knights 14-5 on Friday. With that win, the Sequoits brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Mason Willis was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Yeager, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Antioch hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Antioch's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-10-1. As for Grayslake North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.

Antioch will have a chance to go back-to-back against Grayslake North: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
