Basketball Recap: Pell City Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Pell City faced off against Briarwood Christian on Monday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 59-35. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Pell City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Briarwood Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Pell City and Altamont will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. The Panthers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Briarwood Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Helena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
