Football Recap: Hilton Head Island Starts off Right with Win over Stall

Hilton Head Island gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-12 win over the Stall Warriors. The victory continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Hilton Head Island's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derrick Raniszewski, who threw for 216 yards and three TDs on only 18 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Jeremiah Walters was in the mix as well, providing the Seahawks with two touchdowns.

Hilton Head Island didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayvin Risher and Louis Gadson.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilton Head Island is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against James Island at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stall, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Academic Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
