Volleyball Game Preview: Ector Eagles vs. Miller Grove Hornets

The Ector Eagles will face off against the Miller Grove Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ector has three straight wins, Miller Grove has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Ector had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Fruitvale on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Ector's got stronger as the match went on, holding Fruitvale to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-20, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Miller Grove didn't have quite enough to beat Savoy on Friday and fell 3-2.

Miller Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Ector, their win bumped their record up to 15-7-1.

Ector came out on top in a nail-biter against Miller Grove in their previous matchup back in August, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
