Basketball Recap: Davis Sr. Takes a Loss

Davis Sr. was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 78-57 to the Jesuit Marauders. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Marauders are ranked 65th).

Despite the loss, Davis Sr. still got an impressive performance from Jordan McMurray, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmere Bradley, who had six points.

Even though they lost, Davis Sr. was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Davis Sr.'s defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Davis Sr. does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jesuit, they will host Golden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Jesuit surely won't give up without a fight.
