Basketball Game Preview: Sabetha Bluejays vs. Nemaha Central Thunder

The Sabetha Bluejays will venture away from home to challenge the Nemaha Central Thunder on Monday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-27, which was the final score in Sabetha's tilt against Holton on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, Nemaha Central didn't have too much trouble with Concordia on Friday as they won 57-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

This is the second loss in a row for Sabetha and nudges their season record down to 3-16. As for Nemaha Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Sabetha took a serious blow against Nemaha Central when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-23. Can Sabetha avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
