Football Recap: Africentric Early College Nubians vs. Woodward Bulldogs
Africentric Early College gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 72-0 win over the Woodward Bulldogs. The Nubians pushed the score to 66-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had no chance of recovering from.
Josh Smith had an outrageously good game as he threw for 171 yards and six TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 58 yards. Caleb Anthony did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 100 receiving yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Africentric Early College's defense and their nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Malik Carter and Derron Gray Jr, who racked up five sacks between them. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Africentric Early College is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Minster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodward, they will face off against Beavercreek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
