Central is 9-1 against DeWitt since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will host the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Central has given up an average of 56.1 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central had taken McGehee down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Cougars fell 60-56 to the Owls.

Meanwhile, DeWitt ended up a good deal behind Lakeside on Tuesday and lost 65-46. The Dragons have struggled against the Beavers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

DeWitt's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Central got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January of 2025 against DeWitt by a conclusive 81-55 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
