Basketball Recap: Tuscaloosa Home Educators Comes Up Short

Tuscaloosa Home Educators was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Tuscaloosa Christian, falling 56-30. Tuscaloosa Home Educators was not able to make up for their defeat to Tuscaloosa Christian from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators used a three-pronged attack on offense: Josiah Duckett, Andrew Hamlin, and Jaden Crow posted five points each.

Alex Anglin was nothing short of spectacular for Tuscaloosa Christian: he shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals gave Anglin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josiah Wiggins, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tuscaloosa Home Educators will square off against Restoration Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tuscaloosa Home Educators will need to watch out since Restoration Academy has now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, they will challenge Clay County Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
