Basketball Game Preview: Anderson Raptors vs. Loveland Tigers

Anderson and Loveland are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. Both will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Anderson is coming into the match on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They claimed a resounding 76-44 win over Western Brown. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Raptors this season.

Meanwhile, Loveland entered their tilt with Harrison on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Wildcats 55-38. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 579th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loveland has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Anderson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Everything went Anderson's way against Loveland when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Anderson made off with a 58-38 win. Will Anderson repeat their success, or does Loveland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
