Softball Recap: Northampton Takes a Loss

Northampton lost against Nandua back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets lost 20-11 to the Warriors. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryleigh Caison was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ortavia Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Northampton's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Nandua, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northampton will take on rival Arcadia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nandua is set to square off against their familiar foe Chincoteague at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
