Basketball Game Preview: Wharton Tigers vs. La Marque Cougars

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wharton Tigers duke it out with the La Marque Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Wharton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-41 to El Campo.

Meanwhile, La Marque took a blow against Columbia on Friday, falling 71-39. The Cougars have struggled against the Roughnecks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

La Marque's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Wharton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
