Baseball Recap: Red Land's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carlisle, Red Land was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the West York Area Bulldogs 3-2. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 8-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

Red Land's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Liam Brenner, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Cameron Sutton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Red Land's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for West York Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Red Land will head out to face off against Hershey at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for West York Area, they will welcome Dover at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
