Basketball Game Preview: Vanlue Wildcats vs. Elmwood Royals

The Vanlue Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Elmwood Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vanlue is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Vanlue came up short against Elgin and fell 48-37.

Meanwhile, Elmwood ended up a good deal behind Lakota on Saturday and lost 62-45. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elmwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Vanlue, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Things could have been worse for Vanlue, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Elmwood in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Vanlue avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
