Lassen proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Gridley Bulldogs 4-2. This was payback for the Grizzlies, who suffered a 6-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Connor Kirack was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Lassen has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Gridley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Coming up, Lassen will be taking part in a tournament against Wheatland at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gridley, they will take on Corning at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
