Softball Preview: Levelland Lobos vs. Estacado Matadors
Levelland is 10-0 against Estacado since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Levelland Lobos will head out on the road to challenge the Estacado Matadors at 5:00 p.m. Levelland is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, it was close, but Levelland sidestepped Sweetwater for a 9-8 victory.
Angelica Gonzalez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Saydi Mendez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Estacado got themselves on the board against Lake View on Friday, but Lake View never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Chiefs as they made off with a 14-0 win. 14 seems to be a good number for Estacado as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Levelland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. As for Estacado, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-18.
