Cicero Prep Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Scottsdale Preparatory Academy just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Centurions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Scottsdale Christian Academy came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Scottsdale Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those five matchups.
