Recap: Lubbock T Titans vs. Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions
The Lubbock T Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Christ the King Cathedral 71-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lubbock T's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Curtis Caudillo, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Issac Kelly, who scored 14 points.
Lubbock T's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Christ the King Cathedral, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lubbock T will challenge Panhandle Christian Home Educators at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Panhandle Christian Home Educators has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 566 points over their last nine matchups. Christ the King Cathedral will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Plainview Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Plainview Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
