Football Recap: Orange Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Ridgeview last Friday, Orange Park came back down to earth. The Raiders had to suffer through a 56-7 loss at the hands of the Oakleaf Knights. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost nine in a row.

Xzavier Jones threw for 65 yards and one TD. Brock Aflleje was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Austee'N Mills rushed for 26 yards.

Oakleaf's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack McKissock, who threw for 315 yards and three TDs while completing 78.3% of his passes. Cornell Moses, Jr. helped McKissock out on the ground, rushing for 54 yards and three scores on only seven carries.

Orange Park's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Oakleaf, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Orange Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 23-21 victory against Riverside on the 5th. As for Oakleaf, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-0 win against Fleming Island on the 5th.
