Basketball Game Preview: Southern Christian Patriots vs. LaGrange Academy

The Southern Christian Patriots will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against LaGrange Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Southern Christian can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home last Friday. They were outmatched by Lakeside School and fell 60-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since January 25th.

Southern Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jedd Scott, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points, and Gabriel Decker, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Decker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, LaGrange Academy earned a 58-46 victory over St. Mary's Academy last Thursday.

Southern Christian came up short against LaGrange Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, falling 59-53. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
