On Wednesday, Uwharrie Charter Academy didn't have quite enough to beat West Stanly and fell 3-2.

Logun Wilkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Trinity had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Trinity's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
