Newington won the last time they faced New Britain and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Nor'easters put the hurt on the Golden Hurricanes with a sharp 19-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Nor'easters.

Abigail Greaves was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Carmela Balducci also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Newington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Newington's record now sits at 5-8. As for New Britain, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
