Baseball Recap: Ocean Lakes Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ocean Lakes got themselves on the board against Summerville on Tuesday, but Summerville never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Green Wave. Considering the Dolphins have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ocean Lakes got a great performance from Aiden Skalski as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Nagle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in June of 2025. Another player making a difference was Grey Walsh, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The victory was the third in a row for Ocean Lakes, bringing their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Summerville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean Lakes will host Kempsville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summerville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Western Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Wave's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
