Brady Bowen leads a balanced attack to beat West Holmes

Recap: Wooster Generals vs. West Holmes Knights

The Wooster Generals's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-50 win over West Holmes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wooster also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Wooster got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Bowen out in front who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Tre Edwards, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Collier Cline, who scored 19 points. That was a full 38% of West Holmes' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nate Fair was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Wooster's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for West Holmes, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Wooster will take on Mansfield Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Senior presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wooster in Ohio (Mansfield Senior is ranked 101st, while Wooster is ranked 460th). As for West Holmes, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
