Pittsburg is a perfect 10-0 against Heritage since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Heritage took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pittsburg, who comes in off a win.

Pittsburg proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-27 victory over Los Gatos. Those 30 points were actually the fewest the Pirates have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Pittsburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was King Wade, who picked up 133 receiving yards and one TD. Rolph (RJ) Mosley Jr. was another key pass catcher, picking up 69 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Livermore.

Pittsburg will have to keep a close watch on Wilson Douglas Brown and Kyle Miller, a pair of players who had a big impact on Heritage's prior game. Douglas Brown picked up 109 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Miller threw for 216 yards and one TD.

Pittsburg's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Pittsburg against Heritage in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-0 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
