Basketball Recap: Silex Takes a Loss

Silex won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the North Callaway Thunderbirds, falling 70-48. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 51-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Callaway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Blevins, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was CJ Cunningham, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Silex's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Callaway, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Silex will square off against New Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Callaway, they will challenge Boonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boonville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something North Callaway surely won't give up without a fight.
