Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln lost against Talladega back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lincoln Golden Bears were outmatched by the Talladega Tigers and fell 60-33.

Zae Cunningham continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Talladega, putting up 20 points along with eight steals and seven boards. Cunningham has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justasia Pointer, who went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Lincoln has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Talladega, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Lincoln has already played their next game (against St. Clair County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Talladega wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-22 loss against Winterboro on the 24th.
