Baseball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Toledo Christian, Emmanuel Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Rogers Rams get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

JD Garcia and Karston Kickbusch were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Garcia struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Kickbusch pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Garcia scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Kickbusch scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Ethan Sherban and Sam Kutz did most of the damage at the plate: Sherban went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Kutz scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Cintron, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Emmanuel Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rogers only posted a batting average of .222.
