Softball Recap: Leake Central Comes Up Short

Leake Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 34-19 to the Leake County Alligators. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Jamiyah Russell led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Camron Kibler, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one double.

Leake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Leake County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-8.

As of now, neither Leake Central nor the Alligators have any future games scheduled.
