Softball Recap: Sachse Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sachse had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the Naaman Forest Rangers. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Maya Mcclarity and Logan Schultz made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Mcclarity tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Schultz struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits Mcclarity has allowed since back in February. At bat, Mcclarity scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Schultz scored a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Sachse got a massive performance out of Shelby Siratt, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Cruz, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Sachse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in eight consecutive games.

Sachse pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Naaman Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Sachse will take on Rowlett at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. One thing working in Sachse's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Naaman Forest, they will square off against South Garland at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. Naaman Forest is facing South Garland at the right time seeing as South Garland is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
