Baseball Recap: Garinger Takes a Loss

Garinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-2 to the East Mecklenburg Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Reiner Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East Mecklenburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

While Garinger had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
