Volleyball Recap: Pilot Point Starts off Right with Win over Tom Bean

Pilot Point had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Tom Bean Tomcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bearcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

One reason for the win was Pilot Point's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Tom Bean had strong showings from Camryn Ives, who had five digs and two aces, and Hazel Darney, who had seven digs.

Pilot Point has already played their next game (against Calvary Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Tom Bean, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pottsboro on the 14th.
