Baseball Recap: Palmetto Ridge Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Palmetto Ridge walked away with it. They skirted past the Gulf Coast Sharks 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Gregory Carrasco spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony San Pedro, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Gabe Garcia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Palmetto Ridge's record is now 15-10. As for Gulf Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.
