Mineral Point came tearing into  Saturday's  contest with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   2-0  win over the Green Bay Preble Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  2-0  back in August.
 The  victory didn't come easy: Green Bay Preble scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21,  25-18.
 Maddy Kabat paced Mineral Point's offense, picking up nine kills. Kabat got some help from  Sophie Miller and her ten assists.  Brynn Swenson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Mineral Point's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Green Bay Preble,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at six games  and leaves them with a 11-7 record.
 Looking ahead, Mineral Point will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Southwestern  at 7:00  p.m. As for Green Bay Preble, they will head out to  square off against De Pere  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
