Soccer Game Preview: Olive Branch vs. South Panola

The Olive Branch Conquistadors will venture away from home to take on the South Panola Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olive Branch has given up an average of 6.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Olive Branch is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Center Hill on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 10-0. Olive Branch have struggled against Center Hill recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, South Panola fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Grenada on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers.

South Panola now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Olive Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Olive Branch might still be hurting after the 6-3 defeat they got from South Panola in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Conquistadors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
