Volleyball Game Preview: Rise Kohyang Tritons vs. Central City Value Jaguars

The Rise Kohyang Tritons will square off against the Central City Value Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Rise Kohyang is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Los Angeles Leadership Academy.

Rise Kohyang walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-14.

Elvis Garcia went supernova for Rise Kohyang, getting 34 assists and five aces. The dominant performance gave Garcia a new career-high in assists.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Central City Value duked it out with Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus on Tuesday. Central City Value put the hurt on Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus with a sharp 3-0 win. The Jaguars have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Central City Value was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-5.
